These filters are part# 4396508, they replace 4392857, 4396547, 4396163, 9902, 9901, NCL250 WF, WF-NL300, NL-300, WF-L500, WF-NCL250 , L-400, NL240, & WFNL-240 and others... see complete list below.

They also replace filters for Kenmore refrigerators made by Whirlpool. In Kenmore, they replace part numbers 46-9902 or 9902.

These filters reduce: Chlorine taste and odor, Particulates, Leads, Mercury, Benzene, p-Dichlorobenzene, Toxaphene, Arbofuran. Easy to replace, just twist on. The filter is located on the front grill of your refrigerator. To change it, just twist the cap a 1/4 turn and pull out. Put the cap in the new filter and twist back in... you're done, anyone can do it!

This filter, part# 4396508, is physically similar to filter part# 4396510 and is interchangeable with it. However, the 4396510 offers additional filtration; it removes cysts, whereas the 4396508 does not. If you live in an area with municipal water, you generally do not need cyst removal and this filter will work just fine for you.
